Cindy Love grew up riding horses on the family farm - working cattle, showing Western in local
horse shows, competing in gymkhanas, and trail riding. From an early age she had a knack for training young horses, utilizing a keen
understanding of the horse's perspective.
After college, Cindy began training in classical Dressage and eventually moved to the Hunter/Jumper discipline, where she realized
her lifelong dream of competing over fences. From 1990-1993 she qualified two self-started horses for the AQHA World Championship
show in both Western and Hunter classes. She spent several years in the Dallas, Texas area starting and successfully
showing her own horses while helping friends with young or problem horses. During this time, Cindy was introduced to Natural
Horsemanship training. This new knowledge helped her to add terminology to the horse training lessons she had learned in the
past.
Cindy now enjoys sharing her knowledge with long time horse owners and newcomers alike to help them reach their personal goals -
be they enjoying a relaxed trail ride or increasing horsemanship skills to a competitive level.
Lee Dudley is a veteran horsewoman with over 20 years experience as a professional horse trainer.
She grew up riding and showing in Colorado, becoming a very successful junior rider in both the Hunter and Jumper divisions.
Lee was a six time medal finalist and a two time qualifier for the National Horse Show in Harrisburg, PA. In her time as a
professional, she has coached many children and adults to successful careers in both the CHJA and AQHA circuits. She has helped
to produce an AQHA Congress Champion, an AQHA Reserve World Champion, and an APHA World Champion in the Hunter events. In
addition, many of Lee's students have become CHJA year-end award winners and medal finalists.
More importantly, Lee helps her students reach their own personal goals within the sport of riding. She truly feels that the
lessons of personal strength, integrity, and partnership are the aspects of riding that are most beneficial to the student
regardless of their horse show placings. In 2001, Lee returned to graduate school and finished her advanced Masters degree
in Psychology - with an emphasis on child psychology and the psychology of women. She has also formed the Equine
Partnership Program, which provides psychotherapy in a ranch setting to children in need. Lee has extensive experience
working with abused kids in the foster system.
Haven Farms is a blend of two worlds. We aim to be a competitive show barn with an awareness and desire to lend a supportive
hand to kids who would otherwise not be able to experience the incredible joys and valuable lessons that horses can bring to our lives.
We know that both our horse show and therapy clients gain incredible insights and develop the courage to face personal challenges
in their time at Haven Farms.
